Are you looking for the latest facts and figures on poverty and inequality? Do you wonder how the issues of poverty, inequality and leave no one behind (LNOB) are interconnected? Would you like to find out which groups have already been reached by development progress and who are those left behind?
Then, we would like to invite you to discover our new website! The website turns to national and international organisations, actors and networks working on poverty, inequality and LNOB and everyone who wants to know more about those topics.
Inequality and LNOB are relatively new topics for international development, and therefore require us to formulate appropriate strategies. This website presents the most important aspects relating to poverty, inequality and LNOB, and includes the latest reports and most relevant publications. It also provides examples of recent development work where tangible project results are used to show the interrelations between all three topics.
The website also includes the ‘Inequality Challenge’, an innovation fund initiated by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to test innovative approaches that tackle inequality and support the LNOB principle. Moreover, the Multi Actor Network on Inequality (MAN) is located on the website. The network brings together donors and academia in order to develop new approaches and initiatives to tackle inequality in international development.
The BMZ initiated the launch of this website to highlight the importance for sustainable development of all three topics. It is hosted by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit‘ (GIZ) GmbH.
